Hello, I'm Helen.
I support women who are feeling overwhelmed, out of balance or simply in need of time to pause and reset. With over 30 years in nursing and nearly two decades as a reflexologist, I bring both clinical understanding and a deeply nurturing approach to my work.
Helen Turier · MAR, Association of Reflexologists · CNHC registered
I particularly work with women who are experiencing:
I believe true wellbeing comes from supporting the whole person—physically, emotionally and mentally—and reflexology offers a gentle yet powerful way to restore that balance.
- Ongoing stress or anxiety
- Poor sleep or difficulty switching off
- Life's hormonal transitions (such as puberty, pregnancy, peri-menopause and menopause)
- Emotional overwhelm or burnout
- A need for time, space and nurturing support
Both through my previous nursing & my reflexology practice I have experience in supporting those living with cancer and life limiting illness.
Each session is tailored to you—there's no one-size-fits-all approach, just what your body needs on the day.
A space to feel held, calm and supported
In a world that often feels busy and demanding, many women find themselves carrying stress, tension, and the noise of everyday life. Reflexology offers a quiet space to step out of that noise. Through gentle, targeted touch on the feet, your body is encouraged to slow down, regulate and rebalance—supporting your nervous system, sleep patterns and overall wellbeing.
Clients often leave feeling:
- Deeply relaxed
- More grounded and centred
- Lighter, both physically and emotionally
- Better able to sleep and switch off
I take time to listen, understand and support you as a whole person. My aim is to create a space where you feel:
- Safe
- Heard
- Supported
- Able to truly relax
Because when the body feels safe, it can begin to restore balance naturally.

"Throughout my working life as a qualified nurse I actively embraced an integrated approach to health and wellbeing. I firmly believe that orthodox medicine and complementary therapies can work together to optimise our health."
As a well-trained reflexologist I do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe, that is for your doctor.
Continuing training
I undertake regular professional development courses including, reflexology for conception, pregnancy and post natal, Women's Health, treatment of pain and Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage which helps those living with lymphoedema.
What reflexology is
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, and hands correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better wellbeing for their clients.
What the research so far has found
Helen sets this out on her own site, and says plainly that it is an area for more research.
- Two studies found reflexology in pregnancy significantly reduced pain during labour and reduced the length of the first stage.
- One study found improved sleep quality in post-natal women.
- One study found six weekly treatments before birth, for women with low back and/or pelvic girdle pain, reduced the second stage of labour by 44.3 minutes.
- Reduced pain and stress for women with low back or pelvic girdle pain.
- Foot reflexology lowered total anxiety scores of women in labour.
